Game Mechanics & Mob Spawning

Entity Caps/Spawning

  • Hostile
    • natural spawn cap = 10
    • hard remove at 64
    • zombie piglins → hard remove at ~160
    • despawn range = 64
  • Animals
    • spawn cap = 8
    • hard remove at 32
    • villagers → 120 in a 3x3 chunk area

Game Mechanics

  • Deathbans
    • Starting with 3 lives
    • 1 hour ban time
  • Safe zones
    • spawn
    • end spawn
    • end warp to spawn
  • Homes
    • you have access to one home
    • use /sethome to set or overwrite your existing home
    • use /home to teleport to your home location
    • there is no /delhome and that's intended
  • Respawning
    • You will respawn at your bed, if no bed exists you will respawn at your sethome
  • PvP tagging
    • lasts for at least 45 seconds
    • players are unable to use elytras, /home or enter safe-zones
    • long distance ender pearls travel (stasis) are deactivated
    • portal blocks are disabled
    • riptide is disabled in PvP
    • logging out during combat will result in instantaneous death

Noteworthy mob mechanics

  • Villagers
    • Villagers that have been traded with and are trapped in a small area will experience brain damage. This also applies to villagers stuck in a vehicle. (This helps prevent server lag.)
      (If you need a villager to be "awake" do not trade with it. Like for an iron or raid farm.)
    • As mentioned above, there is a cap of 120 villagers in a 3x3 chunk area. (If you exceed the limit they may despawn.)
  • Phantoms
    • Phantoms will not spawn from lack of sleep
